Oh, Canada hears the “Busted” story on CBC Radio One

Screen Shot 2014-05-16 at 9.57.36 AM“Busted” met the Rob Ford story today on Canadian radio! Thanks to Anna Marie Tremonti, guest host Tom Harrington and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for including us on this morning’s edition of The Current, on CBC Radio One. We were interviewed by stellar guest host Harrington. The Current’s Eye on The Media project looks at how a major scandal is pursued by local media, and we were two of the three investigative journalists on the show.  The third reporter was Robyn Doolittle of the Toronto Star, who helped break the Mayor Rob Ford crack-cocaine story and, like us, knows what it feels like to get death threats and knock on the door of someone who might not want to hear from you. Listen to the 24-minute program by going to this program link. We enter the broadcast at the 5:00 minute mark.

Radio bonanza! 1 interview, 6 stations. Or listen here.

“The way that you describe the different characters, you feel like they’re really right in the room with you.”

Screen Shot 2014-04-15 at 4.55.13 PMSo says Loraine Ballard Morrill, director of news and community affairs for Clear Channel Radio in Philadelphia, during her interview with Wendy and Barb that aired Sunday on Q102, Radio 104.5 and Mix 106.1.  The half-hour dialogue — or trialogue, as it is —  also will air this Sunday (April 20) from 7 to 7:30 a.m. on Power 99 FM,  and also around 6 to 6:30 a.m. on WDAS (105.3 FM) and Smooth Jazz 1480 AM.  So tune in at one of those times, or you can listen to our chat by clicking the player below. (Don’t worry — the ad is short!)  Thanks, Loraine!

On the air at WESA in PGH

WESA logoWe’re multitasking in Pittsburgh today, with two sessions at Park Point University and an interview on WESA radio, an NPR station. Paul Guggenheimer interviewed us on Essential Pittsburgh, a WESA program airing twice today, at noon and 8 p.m.  But if that’s not convenient, you can hear the interview here.  Listen to Paul ask how our investigation got started as a duo: “It’s almost like a Woodward and Bernstein scenario and Watergate has fallen into your lap.”

Sure, we’ll tell you more about ‘BUSTED.’ Today via NPR & WURD

Screen Shot 2014-03-24 at 2.31.38 PMTwo radio appearances today, including NPR’s popular Tell Me More with Michel Martin, airing at 9 p.m.  on WHYY in Philadelphia (tune your radio to Screen Shot 2014-03-03 at 4.22.15 PM90.9 FM) or catch it online from anywhere at http://www.whyy.org/91FM   We taped this recently when we were in Washington, D.C.

The Tell Me More interview also can be heard here via the NPR Tell Me More site.  Hear Michel Martin warn the audience: “I should mention that this conversation contains details and language that some listeners might find disturbing. ”  More likely, EVERY listener should find it disturbing.
